Great newsletter as always Kevin! Love the Pod as well. I like your 3 storylines for this upcoming game. The 3 things that will determine the outcome of the Bears-Vikings game 1:

1. Bears Offensive Line vs. the Vikings Front Seven:

This will be an early-season litmus test for the Bears offensive line. The Vikings' defensive front got after Jordan Love all game in Week 1, but the Packers' offensive line is nowhere near the level of what the Bears have assembled up front. If the Bears want to have success offensively, they must win the battle at the offensive line of scrimmage and establish control early.

2. Time of Possession:

Against a Vikings offense loaded with playmakers, time of possession could be one of the biggest keys to the game. The Bears' pass defense will be challenged enough, so keeping the ball out of the hands of Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison is critical. The longer those two are standing on the sideline, the better the Bears' chances. For that to happen, the running game needs to show up in a big way in Week 2.

3. Colston Loveland & Rome Odunze:

I'd be surprised if Colston Loveland isn't a major part of the game plan early. He put together an excellent blocking performance against Carolina, and getting him involved in the passing game would create even more problems for Minnesota's defense. As for Rome Odunze, the Bears drafted him to become their No. 1 receiver, and it's time for him to start looking the part. Kalif Raymond can't be the team's leading receiver against division opponents. Odunze is simply too talented not to be a focal point of the offense moving forward.
