Frankenstein bill in works?
That’s the word from JB Pritzker, who says the team is mixing parts of both the House and Senate bills that appeared this spring. Pritzker also shared his doubts on the Bears moving to Indiana since none of the taxes needed to fund a stadium have been passed. “I don’t think Indiana is a whole heck of a lot closer than we are,” he said.

So who signs a contract extension first: Connor Bedard or Darnell Wright?
A year ago, it seemed like an easy answer.
Today, it might not be. While the Blackhawks are reportedly in active negotiations (finally) with their franchise cornerstone, Wright and the Bears are closer than they appear in the rearview mirror.
ESPN’s Courtney Cronin says the Bears would like to finalize the extension before the start of training camp, which would be similar timing to the contracts signed by Cole Kmet and DJ Moore in summers past.
Wright is under contract this season at a cap hit of $6.6 million. He also had his Year 5 option for 2027 exercised earlier this year at $19.072 million.
So what might a Wright extension look like when he enters his age 27 season?
