Good morning, Bears fans.
No exclamation point on that greeting from me today.
Definitely on Wednesday.
Maybe next Monday.
But for sure not today.
Not after a loss to the Packers two days after Mike Ditka died.

THE TAKEAWAY
These Bears still have a lot to prove

It all seemed so simple last week.
Control the ball with a strong ground game. Play defense.
Win football games.
But the NFL is a week-to-week league, a place where those things are much easier said than done, especially on the road within the division.
Also, Jordan Love and the Packers are not Geno Smith and the Jets, no matter how much we might have tried willing them into being.
So what to make of Sunday’s 31-7 disappointment at Lambeau, which was technically a Green Bay upset because the Bears were favored?
It’s hard to get too riled up with Caleb Williams set for what seems like an imminent return. Being angry about Tyson Bagent over Case Keenum doesn’t seem like an axe worth grinding.
This also wasn’t the type of ritual beatdown we’ve gotten used to over the last 30 years, the type where the Packers looked worlds better than the Bears team they were whipping could ever hope to be.
The roles could well be switched come Christmas in Chicago.
That said, three things really stood out as big points of concern for me.
