Chicago still in play, mayor’s office says
Please let this be over soon. Brandon Johnson’s top adviser told the Sun-Times on Friday that there’s still a chance the Bears could stay in the city. Most of Jason Lee’s belief is centered on both Arlington Heights and Hammond having “challenges.” The Bears responded to the story by saying there are only two stadium locations under consideration.

A new alliance for 2026?
One of the random fun things about 2025 was the “Bears-Eagles Alliance” that became a thing for a bit on social media.
ICYMI: With the NFC North facing the NFC East on ‘25 schedules, fans of both the Bears and Eagles decided they’d root for each other to deliver losses to teams from their respective divisions.
It worked out perfectly, too, with the Bears sweeping the Giants, Cowboys and Commanders with the Eagles returning the favor against the Packers, Vikings and Lions.
Those losses ended up being important in the tight NFC North title race, just like the win the Bears took from the Eagles after all the games had been played.
With a new schedule in front of us, one Reddit user points out the Bills are a perfect candidate to join forces with.
The Bills are in the AFC, so their wins don’t affect the Bears at all. (Last year’s Eagles squad almost stole the No. 2 seed from the Bears.)
The Bills could also help out with NFC seeding since they play the Rams, a potential top seed in the conference.
Like last year, all of the “alliance” matches will come before the Bears and Bills meet on December 19 in Week 15.

I’ve always liked the Bills dating back to the Thurman Thomas-Bruce Smith days, so it’s an easy sell for me. Might as well get an early start and pull for the Sabres in tonight’s Game 7 against the Canadiens, too.
