Bears By 7 2026 Confidence Pool — Official Rules

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.By entering the Bears By 7 2026 Confidence Pool (the "Contest"), you agree to these Official Rules.

1. Sponsor

The Contest is organized by Bears By 7, an independent fan newsletter ("Sponsor," "we," "us"). The Contest is not sponsored by, affiliated with, or endorsed by the National Football League, the Chicago Bears, Caleb Williams, or any NFL club or player. All team names, logos, and player names referenced are used for identification purposes only.

2. Eligibility

The Contest is open to legal residents who are 13 years of age or older at the time of entry. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and approved these rules and is aware of your entry. Employees, contractors, or immediate household members of the Sponsor are not eligible to win a prize but may enter for fun.Entry is void where prohibited by law.

3. Contest Period

Entries open now and lock at kickoff of the Bears' Week 1 game on Sunday, September 13, 2026. No entries, edits, or resubmissions will be accepted after that time. The Contest concludes at the end of the 2026 NFL regular season (Week 18).

4. How to Enter

1. Visit the entry page and submit a pick (win/loss) for all 17 Chicago Bears regular-season games.

2. Assign each pick a unique confidence value from 1 to 17 (no repeats). Correct picks earn the points assigned to them; incorrect picks earn zero. Maximum possible score is 153.

3. Answer the required season-outcome prediction question.

4. Submit the tiebreaker: your closest-without-going-over guess of Caleb Williams' final 2026 regular-season passing yardage.

5. Provide your name (a first name and last initial or nickname is fine) and a valid email address.

Submitting an entry subscribes your email address to the free Bears By 7 newsletter. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email; unsubscribing does not disqualify an existing entry already submitted.Limit one entry per email address. Submitting a new entry with the same email address you previously used will overwrite your prior picks; it does not create an additional entry and does not improve your odds.

5. Scoring & Determining Winners

Points are awarded only for correctly picked game outcomes, equal to the confidence value assigned to that pick. If a Bears game ends in a tie, that game counts as a loss for scoring purposes — no entrant earns points for that pick, regardless of which side they took. Standings update as games are completed throughout the season and are viewable on the public leaderboard.The entrants with the three highest total point scores at the end of Week 18 win, with 1st place receiving the jersey, 2nd place the hoodie, and 3rd place the t-shirt.

Tiebreaker: If two or more entrants are tied for any of the top three spots, the tie is broken using whoever's tiebreaker guess (Caleb Williams' final regular-season passing yards) is closest to the actual total without going over. This is applied position by position — for example, if three entrants tie for what would be 1st place, the tiebreaker ranks them into 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, and no further prizes are awarded to that group. If a tie still remains after applying the tiebreaker (including if all remaining tied entrants went over the actual total), the Sponsor will select among the remaining tied entrants by random drawing to fill the remaining spot(s).

6. Prizes

7. Winner Notification

Winners will be notified via the email address used to enter within [X] days of the Contest's conclusion and will also be announced on the leaderboard and/or Bears By 7's social accounts and newsletter. Each winner must respond within [14] days of notification to claim their prize. If a winner cannot be reached or fails to respond within that window, the Sponsor reserves the right to select an alternate winner for that prize tier using the same tiebreaker/random-drawing process described in Section 5.

8. General Conditions

• The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entry it reasonably believes to be fraudulent, duplicative, submitted by automated means, or otherwise in violation of these rules.

• The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest, in whole or in part, if fraud, technical failure, or any factor beyond its reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Contest, and to make reasonable adjustments to standings or scoring in that event.

• By entering, you grant the Sponsor permission to display your submitted display name, picks, and score on the public leaderboard and, if you are a winner, to reference your name and win in Bears By 7's newsletter and social channels, unless you request otherwise.

• The Sponsor is not responsible for entries lost, delayed, or misdirected due to technical issues, internet outages, or similar causes outside its control.
  

9. Privacy

Your email address is used to save your entry, operate the leaderboard, and send Bears By 7 newsletter content; it is never displayed publicly.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, by entering you release the Sponsor from any liability for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance/use of the prize.
